CHARACTER COUNTS!

Parent Portal : Teacher Pages : Daniel Eye

Expectations
1. Come prepared (instrument, pencil, music, tennis shoes, etc.)
2. Be quiet when someone is on the podium or in front of the director's stand
3. Keep the room clean
4. Practice!

Attendance
Attendance at all performances is expected! We need everyone at the performances to do our best. Any unexcused absence will result in a 1 letter grade drop. If you are unable to be at a pep band event or concert, a written notice from a parent must be in my possession BEFORE each event that you will miss. If approved, it will not count against your quarter grade. WORK IS NOT AN EXCUSE!! Let your employers know ahead of time.

Pep Band
It is very important that you attend every game that the Pep Band is scheduled to play at. Every time the band plays in public, we are representing the SCHS Music Department and we need to do that with pride. Make sure you take responsibility and see that everyone is doing their part. Also, make sure you put your instruments away and you take your personal items after the Pep Band is done playing.

Grading Policy
Grades will be based on attendance, participation (not talking, being prepared, etc.), critique papers, spot checks, and written or playing tests. Please see page 22 in the 2008-2009 Student Handbook for the percentage breakdown.
