Joyce Everhart - Foodservice Manager and Head Cook
Joyce Everhart is the foodservice manager and head cook at Sanborn Central. She has worked for the school district since 1991, when she started her foodservice career as the dishwasher. In 2006-2007, she was the state president of the School Nutrition Association and enjoyed the nation-wide traveling and training that was required to hold that office. She successfully completed the necessary classes to become professionally certified in 1993, and continues to take classes to keep the certification up to date.
She grew up on a dairy farm by Wolsey, and graduated from Wolsey High School. Two years later she received an associate degree from Huron College. She is married to Harry, and their three boys Bryan, David, and Scott all graduated from Artesian-Letcher High School. She also has twin granddaughters.
She enjoys walking and exercising, listening to country music, the color red, and eating shrimp. She did not play sports or participate in band, but plays the piano for her own enjoyment.
