VB practice for 9-12th grades will begin on August 15th at 7am-10am in Woonsocket. JH VB practice will start the first full day of school on August 21st There will be a VB parent meeting on August 15th at 6:00pm in Sanborn and August 19th at 7:30 pm in Woonsocket.

Fall sports pictures will be held Wednesday, August 21st at WOONSOCKET. Packets will be sent home with the kids from Coaches. 2:00PM- SC VB will depart to Woonsocket 2:15PM- Woonsocket High School VB individuals 2:45PM- JH SC/Woonsocket VB individuals & Team 3:15PM- XC & Cheer 3:45PM High School Football will start with individuals (In the Gym) and then onto JH. Wess. Springs and Sanborn Bus will arrive about 4:00PM

A couple of Sanborn Central School announcements: Due to a scheduling conflict, the Sanborn Central July Board meeting has been moved to Thursday, July 18th in the school library. Everyone must enter through the gym entrance to avoid areas being waxed. Summer Enrichment Literacy Day on Wednesday, July 10 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. If you signed your child up, please have your child wear his/her swimsuit under their clothes and bring a towel. Please enter through the commons door. Just a reminder to players and parents of girls going into the 5th - 8th grades that are interested in playing volleyball. We have a VB camp lined up for July 23rd in Woonsocket with former Huron Volleyball Coach Shelly Buddenhagen, but we only have 4 girls signed up so far. She would like around 20 girls. Two School Updates: Sanborn Central School Board Election will occur on Tuesday, June 18th in the library from 7 AM to 7 PM. Please use the front entrance of the school. There are two three-year seats available with three community members running: Justin Enfield, Curtis Adams, and Peggy Hinker. FFA: Although Ag. classes will be taught in both schools next year, the FFA program will remain a co-op with Mr. Todd Welch and Mr. Darin Schmiedt advising the FFA program. Exact details are still being worked out, but we wanted to be transparent with the public.

The SC track and field day is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15. The current weather forecast has predicted a 50% chance of rain. If it rains, the track and field day will not take place as usual. The students will rotate to the gym in groups of 3 classes. The students will participate in some relays and games for 30 minutes each. Therefore, we wanted to let you know---in case you were planning on taking off work. Watch the forecast

Hanson Invitational Schedule of Events Hanson has a start time of 11 not 10 like the schedule says. So we will adjust leave times a little and leave from Woony at 8:45 and SC at 9. Awards Night Information A potluck supper will be held in conjunction with Awards Night on May 6. Families are asked to bring a food item to share: 8th grade: hot dish, 7th: hot dish, 6th: dessert, 12th: salad, 11th: salad, 10th: hot dish, and 9th: dessert. If you have more than one student being honored at Awards Night, please bring the item designated to the oldest student. The meal will start at 6:00 and awards at 6:30 After awards night the Dakota Tom Sandwiches will be ready to be distributed. Please remember to take your order home.
